Senator Stedman, Cochair, moved and asked unanimous consent for the adoption of the Finance Senate Committee Substitute offered on page 2819. Without objection, SENATE CS FOR CS FOR HOUSE BILL NO. 417(FIN) "An Act relating to the compensation for certain public officials, officers, and employees not covered by collective bargaining agreements, to pay increments for longevity in state service, and to a State Officers Compensation Commission; providing for an effective date by repealing the effective dates of certain sections of ch. 124, SLA 1986; and providing for an effective date" (Title change SCR 33) was adopted. 2008-04-11 Senate Journal Page 2838 Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that the bill be considered engrossed, advanced to third reading and placed on final passage. Senator Ellis moved and asked unanimous consent that the vote on the passage of the bill be considered the vote on the effective date clauses. Without objection, it was so ordered and the bill was referred to the Secretary for engrossment.
